Creations from my looms

This is one of the blankets that was made by the loving knitters surrounding Virginia Tech. Recently I sent squares to the Mosaic Yarn Shop to be sewn into blankets for the families of the shootings at Virginia Tech on April 16th. The squares were to be sent until the end of May. They had needed 2000 squares, but instead they received over 6100 squares!

They received squares from all 50 states and 18 countries around the world.

What an amazing show of love and support for Virginia Tech. I cannot believe how many people responded to this call for squares in Hokie colors. I, for one, have been honored to have been a small part of the Hokie Healing Project! I see at least 4 squares of mine in the blanket on the right side.

To see your work in something that has become such a grand scale, worldwide project to help heal Virginia Tech, tends to give me goosebumps! But if you don't believe me, go over to the Mosaic Yarn Shop and look for yourself at the amount of people who turned out to help seam these squares together yesterday! Just follow the link above.

Take care of you and yours! Til next post!

P.S. Gina, Belinda, and Debbie of Mosaic, I borrowed the picture from your blog and if you don't want it here let me know... it will be gone the same day! No problem at all...

That blanket is awesome! They did a wonderful job matching colors and assembling it. Thanks for sharing.

If you are a Looming Angel too, ask me how you can post this shop on your blog and advertise the Looming Angels group so we can grow our numbers further and reach more people in need.
